Wisps have a very small chance to spawn whenever players use teleports or the cloaking device. Added new mineral to Jarkati: quartz ore in sand, to match the 'wisp' theme. Quartz in sand Jarkati mineral now reduces player's movement speed, like regular sand. Two more microblock shapes for table saw. Update AC to correct false positives caused by bouncers. No longer possible to accidentally trash tools with custom descriptions or rank higher than level 1. Added a bunch of player-contributed stuff regarding plants/flowers. Take a stab at fixing a portal sickness bug (player-contributed). Bronze tools added to tool-ranks (player-contributed). Added the first version of the thorium reactor (player-contributed). Made it so ropes can be seen in the dark. The sloped branches are actually useful now, and don't clutter up the landscape, especially in the Outback. Improved the movespeed calculation for stairs nodes. Improved usefulness/realism of snow tracks in regard to player's walking speed. This should make it much easier to tell the direction a player was going when you come across tracks in the wilderness. Tracks in snow now always face the direction of player travel. Added a trash slot to regular furnace formspecs. The nametag show/hide tool now lets a player discover how much XP another player has. Added more-or-less finished thorium reactor machine (player-contributed). You have to press and hold the jump button, of course. Made the sled a bit easier to use, and allow it to jump up shallow slopes. The anvil is now used to craft some items. The server's hardcoded jail has been changed to a city-block jail. Jails now have a range, and crimes committed too far from a jail won't be punished. Place 8 griefer-stone with a city-block in the middle, and then punch the city-block with 8 nyan cat heads. Enabled using nyan cat heads in teleports as infinite fuel. Put a cat head in the fuel slot to make it a recall beacon. Allowed players to construct their own recall beacons using nyan cats and teleports. Players can't steal nyan cat heads out of teleports. Removed the ability to burn nyan cats/rainbows in the furnace. This is partly due to trademark issues, and partly because the rainbows were just too ugly and silly. Renamed nyan cats to Glowing Rosestone Seed/Tail. I don't know of any historical exceptions. Political censorship and associated purges is/are TERRIBLE and has always led to very bad things. Updated the formspec shown to players on join. Gave a separate name to the brimstone ocean, "Abyssal Plain". Allow mushrooms to be grown on mossy cobble, where they are naturally found. This does not affect existing gates, of course. Reduced the range of obsidian gate hops so they're less powerful. This change should hopefully make the number of nyan rainbows smaller, making them more valuable. The reason for this change is that, due to huge caverns, nyans were much easier to find than before large caverns were added to Minetest, several years ago. Reduced the average length of rosestone (formerly nyan) spawns. Rosestone teleports now require fuel, but are still more fuel-efficient than other types of teleports. Updated mapgen messages to annoyingly blame players now. Made oil extract compressible from certain seeds. Made rosestones generate with coral-like formations instead of the silly straight lines. Teleport chance to misjump now incorporates the distance of the jump, compared with the teleport's maximum range. The crafting recipe for the Radar item changes depending on which mods are installed:ĭownload the master branch or the latest release, and follow the usual installation steps.Īlternatively, you can download and install the mod from ContentDB or the online content tab in Minetest. Note that the Radar item also enables the surface mode of the minimap, which means you don't need to carry a Mapping Kit in your inventory if you have a Radar item. Use the Minimap key to toggle the minimap on, and switch between modes. Place the Radar item anywhere in your inventory.Craft (or give yourself) the Radar item (see crafting below).A simple extension to Minetest Game's map mod, this mod adds a single craftable item, that when placed in a player's inventory, enables the use of the radar mode of the minimap.
